Kahina Giving Beauty Eye Serum Review

I have received so many samples of this product I probably almost had a full size by the time I got around to giving Kahina Giving Beauty’s eye serum a try. Thankfully that meant I really got a chance to experience the product and know if it worked for me and if it is worth it’s heafty/luxurious price tag 20140623-030251-10971421.jpg Continue reading Kahina Giving Beauty Eye Serum Review

Chagrin Valley Whipped Squalene Face and Eye Moisturizer Review

If you read my blog last month you’ll know what a big fan of Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve I am. They are a great company with great values and high performing products. There are so many products in their line that just work so well, and at this price point you really can’t beat ’em. Really, even at a higher price point I don’t think some of these products can be beat.

Benecos Q10 Day Cream Review

I received this in my True Beauty Veganista Box for July/August.  I prefer purchasing the Veganista Box rather than the Flirt or Indulge box because I know that the ingredients will be cruelty free.  I’m sad that I miss out on some of the eye-liners and lipsticks because of the beeswax, but it is a fair trade, I feel.

I’ve been using this product as an eye cream because I don’t really need a lot of Q10 anti-aging on my skin just yet, but the fine lines around my eyes could potentially benefit from it.  I know that dermatologists and aestheticians say that you’ll have to use an anti-aging product for more than 30 days before you can expect to see results, so if my opinion of this product changes by then I’ll update this post.  However, after using it for just over two weeks I have already noticed some marginal improvement.

My Everyday Skin Care Routine

Having tried a few different cleansers and facial products I have narrowed down my skin care routine.  One of the best things you can do for your skin is to keep it simple, and keep it consistent.  As tempting as it is to keep trying new facial creams, serums, cleansers, etc, your skin will respond best if you find something that works well and stay with it.  That doesn’t mean that I’m not on the search for something better, but for now I use the following products every day and really like how balanced and healthy my skin is.

100% Pure Haul

I have been wanting to try the California based 100% Pure product line for a while, and a few weeks back they had a huge promotion on their super fruits collection.  Instead of paying ~$250 for 9 full sized products I only paid $125.  Not too shabby for natural product pricing, I feel.  And now I have the full line to trial!  The products are geared towards anti-aging, because of the superfruit antioxidants, which at this stage in my life I’m not too concerned about, but the antioxidants certainly couldn’t hurt.  Besides, the products smell lovely for spring and summer.  To top it all off, the majority of their products are gluten free and vegan! (naturally they are also cruelty free)
