Vapour Organics Aura Multi-Use Blush in Crush Review

I love the idea of multisticks and cream blushes.  They just feel so nice on my skin, blend so well, and look very natural.  Staying power?  Not always awesome.  But how does this gorgeous multi-use blush from Vapour Organics stand up?

100% Pure Super Fruits Healthy Skin Foundation Revew

Aside from Jane Iredale’s Dream Tint Tinted Moisturizer (review) I haven’t really branched out into liquid foundations since going green.  I do like the Dream Tint, but it definitely does not offer full coverage,  nor is it vegan.  Naturally, I went looking to 100% Pure for makeup because so many of their products are vegan but they also use fruit and vegetable pigments rather than mineral based pigments to achieve the different shades.  There is so much less chance of lead contamination with makeup pigmented this way, rather than mineral based pigmentation.  Plus, it smells better!

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Ballerina Cream Blush Review

Now that I have tried cream blushes I rarely use the powdered form. My skin appreciates the extra hydration, and I find that they are just so much more natural looking when blended well. That being said, the Pot Rouge Blush from 100% Pure in Ballerina is far from a natural looking blush but not because of the pigment.

100% Pure Multistick in Peach Glow Review

100% Pure is a green beauty company that is unique in that all of it’s products are tinted using vegetable and fruit pigments rather than minerals to allow for as pure a product without potential contaminants as possible. Of course the downside to this is that the products have a bit shorter of a shelf life than mineral products, but that is a small price to pay for a high performing “pure” product! I really like my other multistick, but I couldn’t resist trying the lip and cheek tint by 100% Pure.

Ilia Beauty Highlighter Stick in Polka Dots & Moonbeams Review

The more Ilia products I try out the more I can really understand what all the hype is about. The bottom line: this company makes great products. Because I like my multistick so much and I haven’t had a highlighter since “going green” I thought I’d try out the Ilia highlighter in Polka Dots and Moonbeams. I expected to like it, but I didn’t know that I would like it this much!

December Favourites

Sorry that this is a little late.  Between work and the holidays time got away from me.  Here’s what I kept reaching for in December:

Ilia Multi-Stick in Tenderly Review

I have been eyeing these multisticks for a while.  It was tough to pick which colour to go with, and looking on the websites I took a bit of a gamble with this colour and was kind of shocked when I opened the package.  On the website it is almost a pastel lavender-pink colour, but in person it is most definitely pink. Very, very pink.

Juice Beauty Irresistable Glow Facial Highlighter Review

This is my first branch out into a creamstick blush since switching to green products and it has definitely piqued my interest in the concept.  The creamstick I tried is Juice Beauty’s Irresistable Glow Facial Highlighter.

September/October True Beauty Box Unboxing and First Impressions

One of the beauty boxes I subscribe to is the True Beauty Box by Love True Natural which mails out every other month for the international price of $30 a month plus shipping.  What I like most about this box is your ability to customize it; they have three options: 1)flirt – mostly cosmetics 2)indulge – an extra $10 and comes loaded with a bunch more products both makeup and personal care and 3)veganista – only vegan makeup and personal care products.

This is the only natural beauty box I subscribe to that gives you three to four full size products in every box.  I really appreciate that  because sometimes the sample sizes are way too small to get a good idea of whether a product will work for you or not.  Here’s what was in this bi-monthly box:

W3LL People Narcissist Foundation and Concealer Review

On my wishlist a few weeks back I listed the stick concealer by W3LL People.  My review for the Narcissit Foundation and Concealer is kind of mixed, but overall I am very happy with it and will definitely make good use of it.  Besides, with the list of clean, natural ingredients I can’t complain!
