I really struggled to find a body care product this month that was a favourite because I am actively searching, without much success, for a good body lotion to help cure my dry, scaly skin. So I just went with a bath product that was kind of a gold standard for me that I have been using for years and years, even before going green. Here’s what I liked this month.
This serum doesn’t smell the greatest but you can’t deny the results! After just three weeks my skin went from dull to having a serious lit-from-within glow. I could even go with just a touch of blush and mascara! That’s unheard of for me and my pasty, translucent, blotchy winter skin. I’m still pale, but now I don’t look quite so sickly without foundation.
My quest for a good body moisturizer continues. I think I’ve all but given up on body oils. They are just way too difficult to apply. I’m sure that I could figure it out, but I just don’t think that they are for me. So, I’m back to trying out lotions and creams. I really like 100% Pure’s body creams but they aren’t available in my city. I’ve enjoyed some of Andalou Naturals’ face masks and was happy to discover that their body lotions were great too!
Having tried a few different cleansers and facial products I have narrowed down my skin care routine. One of the best things you can do for your skin is to keep it simple, and keep it consistent. As tempting as it is to keep trying new facial creams, serums, cleansers, etc, your skin will respond best if you find something that works well and stay with it. That doesn’t mean that I’m not on the search for something better, but for now I use the following products every day and really like how balanced and healthy my skin is.
I have been looking for a good weekly or bi-weekly exfoliator to replace the St. Ives one I finally just used up, so when I was out searching for some new masks to try I thought I’d give this one a spin. I’m really glad that I did.
Another mask up for review. This time it’s the Andalou Naturals Brightening Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask.
On my seemingly never ending quest to replace my silicone laden, salon level conditioner I decided to try a conditioner by Andalou Naturals. I didn’t do any product research before I purchased one of them and went entirely on ingredients and scent. I haven’t used very many Andalou Naturals products before, but I was excited to give them a try!
