Holiday Manicure

I did this manicure a while back thinking these colours would be perfect for a fall manicure….you be the judge, but I definitely feel this screams holidays and presents more than leaves and crisp autumn air.

RGB 5 Free Polish in Sea Review

There’s something about RGB polishes that put them just a step above the rest of the 5-free world.  Sea, this beautiful, deep, rich teal colour is no different.

Fall Manicure – a neutral twist on the french manicure

IMG_4331

I have been playing around with different combinations of nail polishes to find some fun looks.  This look is a subtle colourful take on the traditional french manicure.  Instead of the usual neutral pink, I’ve substituted Sheswai’s polish in Stone.  Sadly, they don’t sell this colour anymore, but What is the closest colour match in their current collection.  The colour I used as the tip highlighter is HIPP by RGB in 1, which is a standard pale beige colour.  Of course I want this look to last as long as possible so I use Spa Rituals 3 step manicure system.

Hope that you like this look!

RGB Nail Polish in Garnet Review

I really like the range of RGB colours and one particular colour really caught my eye, but I just couldn’t get over the name: Ox Blood. But then a little while ago EcoDivaBeauty.ca brought in a colour called Garnet which I liked just as much. It’s a really pretty, deep red shade with just the right amount of warmth and sparkle.

RGB Nail Polish Remover Pads

Yes, I know that nail polish and nail polish removers are full of chemicals, even if they are of the “green” variety.  Frankly, these products are just slightly more green by eliminating the most harmful chemicals.  I am no stranger to gel polish, so the transition to this kind of remover was not a big shift for me.  For those of you who are used to using standard nail polish and drug store or salon nail polish removers be prepared for a bit of an adjustment when switching to something like this.  That being said, these worked way better than I expected.

RGB 5 Free Nail Polish in Haze Review

I am really liking this company’s products!  The nail polishes I have tried haven’t disappointed and this colour is no exception.  Haze is a really pretty lavender-grey with great coverage and staying power.  It was on day six that I finally got a chip.  Six days!

I am very curious to find out what would happen with the RGB top coat?

All in all this brand is impressing me and I can see myself owning a few more colours in the very near future….

EWG Rating: 5 (c’mon, it’s nail polish.  What’d you expect?)

RGB HIPP F1 Nail Polish Review

The colour I saw on the EcoDivaBeauty website was quite a bit different than what actually arrived, but I have to say I am much happier with this colour!  It is a great beige neutral that is right on trend for fall.

RGB Nail Polish Review – Minty

This was on my wishlist weeks ago, so when I was placing an order at EcoDivaBeauty.ca I threw it in my shopping cart.  It is the first RGB product that I’ve tried, and the second 5 free nail polish that I’ve tried and this formula is more of what I expect out of a nail polish than the other one.  I am very impressed and I will most definitely be looking into placing an order for more colours.

Wishlist Wednesdays – Manicure Edition

I really like to go the salon and have my nails done and thankfully the salon I go to is eco-conscious, runs on solar power, and only uses recycleable products.  Also, they use 3 free nailpolishes and gel nails, which makes things better.  I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to go to the salon every time I want my nails done, though.  Besides, it’s kind of fun to try things out at home.  This week’s wishlist is all about nail polish and I’m upping the ante to have the brands be 5 free.
