Eco Emi September 2013 Unboxing and First Impressions

I was so excited when Eco Emi announced that they’d be shipping to Canada! I registered right away.  Eco Emi is a subscription box service that ships samples of eco-products right to your door every month.  There aren’t many available in Canada just yet, so the pickings are rather slim, but if you are wondering about whether or not to sign up for Eco Emi I would absolutely reccommend it.  This month’s box was very exciting and has all kinds of great products I couldn’t wait to try!

Neem and Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Body Bar Review

My boyfriend has been struggling recently with painful body acne and aside from treating the spots individually with tea-tree oil we were at a loss as to what to do.  On the very same day I was headed out to the health foods store in search of some kind of tea-tree oil body wash or soap bar my order from Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve arrived.  Included in my order was a complimentary sample bar of their Neem and Tea-Tree Oil Shampoo and Body Bar.  I couldn’t believe our good fortune, and my skeptical boyfriend was convinced to try it the next day. The results were impressive.   Continue reading Neem and Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Body Bar Review

Soap Walla Deodorant Review

Although the Dr. Mist Hygiene Spray that I have been using as a natural deodorant has been working very well, I kept searching for something that’s a little bit more economical and would be better for travelling.  Even though the Dr. Mist spray is only $8 it doesn’t last too long.  My boyfriend especially was going through a fair amount of it and would have had to replace the deodorant bottle every three weeks or so if he was using it exclusively.  He’s not overly sweaty or fragrant or anything, but felt that he needed to apply it at least twice a day to get adequate odor control.  Because this is strictly a deodorant and not an antiperspirant as well, he also wasn’t comfortable with how much he was still sweating with it.  I didn’t experience problems like he did; I only had to apply it in the morning and I was good until the next day even with a workout.   Continue reading Soap Walla Deodorant Review
